3. Do not get carried away by digging a mine. If you are underground, let's say place torches on only one side of the walls - let's say just on the right. Accordingly, when you go home, then be guided by the fact that the torches should be on the left.

   • Alternatively, you can use wooden signs or colored wool. For example, red wool is the sign "lava ahead", and blue is "exit ahead".
   • If you get lost underground, dig up, get out to the surface and look for landmarks. Note that this is dangerous - lava or rubble can kill you.

4. Where you often walk, build a road. If, say, you frequently shuttle from home to mine and vice versa, build a road between them or mark the path in some other obvious way. In time, it might even make sense to lay everywhere railways and build a chain of shelters where you could wait out the night!

   • To quickly travel very long distances, you can build a road through another dimension. If you build a Nether Portal near your home and where you are now, you can search the Nether for your old portal.

   Coordinates and / or suicide

   1. Press the F3 key to see your current coordinates. Of course, press F3 when the game is running. After clicking, you will see text in the game window with coordinates, where X and Y will describe your position relative to the north-south and east-west directions, respectively, and Z - your position relative to sea level. When you start walking somewhere, the coordinates will change.

   3. Put all of your items in the chest. If you have something that you would not like to lose due to death, put it in the chest. If you are playing in single player mode, then it would be appropriate to place the chest in a prominent place - say, on the top of a tower. If you are playing in a mode where there are monsters, then it makes sense to protect the chest from creeper explosions with a block layer.

      • If you have an "End Chest", then you can access your belongings from any other similar chest, wherever it is.
      • If you are playing with cheats, press the T key to open the chat, then enter text into the chat / gamerule keepInventory true... This command will allow you to keep the items that are in your inventory, there even after the death of your character, which will greatly simplify your life.

   4. Kill your character. Climb higher and jump, run into a monster, swim in the lava ... in general, have fun. After death, your character will be reborn near the bed in which he slept for the last time - but without the items that were in the inventory at the time of death. If either you don't have a bed, or all the beds are moved, or broken, or blocked by something, then you will appear in the very place of the game world where you started the game during it.

      If necessary, break the beds and kill your character again. If you do not know the place where you appeared, destroy the bed that will be nearby and kill your character again. If there is still a bed in your house, then you will find yourself next to it.

      • If you find yourself not next to the bed, but next to the place where the game starts, and your house is not known where, you need to either use a map or cheats, or build yourself new house.

   5. Find your belongings using coordinates. Press F3 to see your current coordinates, then write them down - like the coordinates of your house. Watch how the x and y coordinates change as you walk, pick the direction you want to go, and go for things!

      • Here's a simple example: let's say your house is at the point x-50 y-100, and your chest with things - x-50 y-300... Now go somewhere until the value of the x coordinate stops changing (x-50), and then roll it 90 degrees and walk until the value of the y coordinate increases to 300.

      Make a compass. Open the workbench and place the red stone in the center. Place iron ingots around it with a cross - top, bottom, left and right. Drag the finished compass into your inventory.

      • If you want to save materials, then look at the compass arrow, and then put the materials in your inventory, not the compass itself. The compass arrow always points to the spawn point, whether the compass is equipped or not. However, this is not the easiest and most convenient way to use the compass.

   4. Take the compass in hand and go where the arrow points. Equipped with a compass, you will see it in the character's hand. The arrow will be directed to the point of first appearance in the world, it will react to your movement. Walk until you see familiar places.
