The dispute about the quality of domestic and foreign heating equipment has not stopped for many years. Both those and other models have their adherents. And each of them has a lot of reasons in favor of one of the manufacturers and its equipment.

It is impossible to consider all the samples in one article, so let's compare the two most popular ones.

Of these, the first place is occupied by Bosch solid fuel boilers, produced by a German manufacturer. Among domestic companies, it is worth noting the Teplodar company. In its product line, the Cooper solid fuel boiler is of particular interest. We will consider the advantages and disadvantages of these models below.

Manufacturers: Bosch and Teplodar

In 1886, the German electrical engineer Robert Bosch opened a small workshop in the city of Stuttgart. Her first specialization was the production of ignition systems for cars and electric motors. After 5 years of fruitful work, the company was able not only to move to a new and larger premises, but also to organize mass production of its goods.

Product quality has been a top priority for Bosch from the outset. He agreed to be left without profit, so as not to lose the trust of customers. Perhaps it was this approach that allowed the company by the 1940s to produce a fairly wide range of products that were in constant demand on the German market.

Since 1932, Bosch has been involved in heating technology. At this time, the owner of the company acquired the Junkers production, specializing in the production of gas water heaters. Years of intensive development follow. Today the company is a world leader in the field of mechanical engineering, its products are sold in many countries around the world.

The domestic company Teplodar cannot boast of such a long period of existence. Its products appeared on the heating equipment market only in 1997.

However, despite its youth, its basic principles have already become a careful selection of suppliers and a creative approach to all stages of the production process.

The assortment of the company is more than two dozen basic models of heating equipment. They differ in purpose and design, have modern design and various capacities, but all products are united by reliability, economy and long service life.

Improving its technological park and increasing production capacity, Teplodar does not forget about the introduction of new technologies and the external design of the manufactured equipment. All products of the company comply with international standards quality, which is confirmed by the annual surveillance audit of the International Certification Committee.

Lineup of companies' products

The line of solid fuel boilers from the German manufacturer includes boilers under the Solid brand in three modifications:

2000 V - presented in 8 power options, can be used in combination with a storage tank

3000 H - cast iron model (has 5 power levels), which will allow you to choose the optimal device for a room of any area

5000 W - pyrolysis apparatus made of heat-resistant steel

For example, the 2000 B model is a Bosch solid fuel floor boiler, which is capable of heating large houses. At the same time, only coal is recommended as a fuel for it. But at the same time, it has a lot of advantages. The most important of these is complete autonomy. But other characteristics, such as high quality, reliability, ergonomic design, combined with a relatively low price, make Bosch solid fuel boilers quite popular among consumers.

We look about Bosch products:

Model 5000 W is a modern equipment, the principle of which is based on pyrolysis or decomposition of wood into solid, liquid and gaseous components, followed by the release of heat from wood gas. They are very often called Bosch solid fuel boilers for long burning. Which is true, since such equipment can operate for a much longer period of time on one tab than classic models.

The products of the domestic manufacturer are represented by Kupper solid fuel heating boilers.

This series consists of the following models:

  • OVK 10
  • OVK 18
  • OK 15
  • OK 20
  • OK 30

Their difference lies in the thermal power, which is indicated in the marking with a number. These devices are used for space heating from 100 to 300 m², and have proven themselves well even in the harsh Siberian winter. As a fuel, they can use any type of fuel, including gas or electricity, but this will require equipping the device with additional units, for example, a gas burner.

Watch a video about Cooper brand products:

The design features of Kupper boilers are the placement of an additional 12-pipe heat exchanger in the firebox, as well as the presence of a removable visor, which forms a two-turn heat removal, which guarantees complete extinguishment of the flame in the tube sheet.

The Cooper OK 15 solid fuel boiler can have a manual or automatic power adjustment mode, and the presence of heating elements in it allows you to maintain a minimum temperature even after the combustion process is completed.

Heating equipment cost

Domestic equipment is one of the most affordable on the market. The Kupper solid fuel boiler costs around 27 thousand rubles, and the price for it depends on the thermal power.

The products of the German company are of excellent quality, which, of course, affects the cost. Prices for them are in the range from 30 to 45 thousand rubles, but they fully correspond to all the advantages of this equipment.

What do consumers choose?

Having scrolled through a large number of reviews, you can be sure that the quality of Bosch equipment is fully consistent with that declared by the manufacturer. Today, the Bosch solid fuel boiler is one of the few, reviews of which only emphasize all its advantages. Everyone who has German boilers celebrates their flawless operation in all weather conditions. They easily provide a comfortable indoor temperature even in the most severe frosts.

But the opinion is completely opposite about domestic equipment. There are a lot of complaints that the device is simply not able to heat the house, even if its area is less than the allowable area for it. One bookmark burns out too quickly, which requires the constant presence of a person, very often the smoke from the chimney enters the boiler room.

Moreover, these disadvantages are not always associated with errors in calculations or during installation, but most often directly depend on the quality of the equipment. Therefore, Kupper solid fuel boilers have quite different reviews, but mostly about various disadvantages. Although these devices are budgetary in cost, their use as the main source of heat has many nuances.

Expensive foreign or cheap domestic?

So, having received comprehensive information about various models of heating devices, you can draw the right conclusion for yourself. You should not save on that, without which it will not be possible to achieve a comfortable temperature in any room, namely, on the purchase of heating equipment.

This is evidenced not only by the quality characteristics of solid fuel boilers of the German and domestic manufacturers, but also by the numerous reviews of those who had to evaluate their work in their own home.

Therefore, if you want your premises to be heated in normal mode and require a minimum of your attention, then you should choose Bosch products. She has managed to establish herself for more than one year of presence in the domestic market, which is a kind of guarantee of her flawless work in your home.

Review of solid fuel boiler Cooper OK-15 Teplodar

Hot water heating solid fuel boilers Cooper OK-15 / OVK-18 are designed for heating individual residential houses and buildings for public utilities, equipped with water heating systems with natural or forced circulation.

The Cooper OK-15 / OVK-18 boiler Teplodar can be installed both in an open expansion tank and gravity circulation of the coolant (does not require connection to the mains), and in a closed low-volume heating system.

The principle of operation of these water heating devices is based on the transfer of energy released during fuel combustion to the coolant.

The efficiency of heat exchange is achieved due to the developed surface of the water jacket, which provides heat removal from all surfaces of the furnace, and the multi-row staggered arrangement of pipes in the heat exchanger.

Such a heat exchange system allows you to most effectively heat the coolant. The design of the water circuit contributes to the creation of a directed flow of the coolant and eliminates stagnant zones.

Inside the firebox, between the pipes of the heat exchanger, there is a visor, which excludes the ingress of flame into the smoke collector and provides complete heat removal. The detachable design of the visor makes it easy to clean the tube heat exchanger from soot.

All models are equipped with a heating element block, which maintains the coolant temperature at the end of fuel combustion or even in autonomous electric heating mode. For all models, the power of the heating element unit is 6 kW.

Each heating element in the unit is powered separately from the 220V network, which allows discrete power control electric heating... The heating element block in the base model is controlled manually.

The side surfaces of the heating boiler Cooper Teplodar are thermally insulated with basalt cardboard and lined decorative panels, which provides a higher efficiency and a safe temperature of external surfaces.

A flap installed on the ignition door allows you to control the intensity of combustion by adjusting the power in the range from 30% to 100%.

The setting can be either manual or automatic, when installing a combustion regulator, for which a fitting G is provided on the left side of the unit.

All boilers of the model range can be equipped with gas, pellet or oil burners of the corresponding power. It is just as easy to dismantle these devices, if necessary, return to solid fuel.

Heating boiler design Kupper OK-15 / OVK-18

The design of solid fuel heating boilers Teplodar Cooper is shown in Fig. 1.

The device consists of a furnace body with a tube heat exchanger, a smoke collector pipe with a diameter of 150 mm, surrounded by a water jacket body.

The outer surfaces of the body of the water jacket are lined with a heat-insulating layer of basalt cardboard and covered with a polymer-coated casing.

Between the pipes of the heat exchanger, below the flue gas collector, a removable hood is horizontally installed, which ensures maximum heat transfer from the flue gases to the surfaces of the tube sheet.

On the side walls of the Cooper OK-15 / OVK-18 boiler there are fittings with an internal pipe thread: at the top, G1 - for connecting water supply, below G2 - for connecting the return or installing a heating element block. To do this, an adapter plug from G2 to G1 is screwed into the G2 connection from one side.

All models have two doors: a loading one, designed for loading fuel, monitoring the combustion process and cleaning the pipe heat exchanger from soot, and a kindling door, through which firewood is loaded and kindled. The loading channel has a slope, which allows you to accurately and effortlessly fill the fuel into the furnace.

The ignition door has a window closed by a sash. The opening degree of the sash is adjusted manually with a screw or with a chain attached to the automatic combustion regulator.

The cast iron grate rests on a removable support, which ensures the convenience of its longitudinal placement. On the upper horizontal surface of the support there are two holes for installing and fixing the rotary damper in the closed position.

A damper damper prevents the burning coal load from spilling out when the ignition door is opened. Through the holes in it, you can sand the coal.

In boilers OK-15, OVK-18, the ash box is closed with a fire door. All boilers are equipped with a rotary gate, a shurovka and a poker.

The size and design of the OVK-18 boiler corresponds to the OK-20 model and differs in that part of the ceiling water jacket is replaced with a cast-iron hob.

The overall dimensions of the OVK-10 unit correspond to OK-15, but it has a number of differences in its design: it does not have a loading door, but it is equipped with a cast-iron plate with removable rings through which fuel can be loaded. In this regard, the location of the heat exchanger tubes has been changed in such a way as to ensure unimpeded fuel loading.

The diameter of the OVK-10 smoke collector pipe is 115 mm, and for all other models - 150 mm. The ash drawer can be operated with the ignition door closed.

Electrical connection:

The electrical power connection must be made by a licensed organization with qualified certified personnel, in accordance with the requirements of the Electrical Installation Rules (PUE).

Each heating element must be connected with a cable with a copper wire cross-section of at least 2.5 mm2 and 16 A circuit breakers.

For a block of heating elements 3.2 kW, parallel connection of three heating elements is allowed through a 30 A circuit breaker with a cable with a cross-section of copper conductors of at least 4 mm2.

Operation of boilers Cooper Teplodar

Before starting operation, it is necessary to check the tightness of the threaded connections and the pressure in the heating system, open the shut-off valves of the main pipelines and the membrane tank.

Make sure the safety valve is not plugged and open the outlet siphon of the automatic air valve.

Operating modes:

Boiler operation modes Kupper OK-15 / OVK-18 on solid fuel are set by the operator's actions and depend on the density of the fuel, the correct installation of the chimney, the position of the chimney gate and the air supply adjustment door during the operation of the device.

Air cyclical slamming of the air supply door located on the ignition door is possible.

When they appear, it is necessary to close the air regulation door until the clapping stops, but not until it is completely closed.

When using coal as fuel, you must first melt the boiler with dry wood, and after the burning charcoal covers the entire surface of the grate, load the coal.

Coal loading should be done small portions up to 5 kg, without leaving the loading door open for a long time in order to prevent a large amount of cold air from blowing into the firebox.

Do not load charcoal above the edge of the loading door fuel channel.

The combustion intensity can be adjusted by changing the position of the air supply flap by turning the screw fig. 3 (a) or automatically, using the combustion regulator fig. 2 (b), as well as by changing the thrust force of the rotary gate.

OPERATION AND REPAIR OF BOILERS

Today the market offers many hot water boilers for various types of fuel: solid and liquid fuel, combined, gas and electric. However, against the background of this diversity, the Cooper (Kupper) boilers produced by the Novosibirsk company Teplodar stand out favorably. These compact and easy-to-install hot water devices can operate on almost all types of fuel.

The home heating system is connected to the heating boiler using the fittings located on one of its side walls. This means that no special skills or tools are required for installation. The boiler is installed both in private households and for heating premises for any other purpose.

Cooper boiler

The Cooper boiler can be the basis of a heating system with natural or forced water circulation. Different models of boilers have different furnace capacities, different power and different electrical power. Its various models are designed for heating rooms from one hundred to three hundred square meters.

Features of Cooper boilers

Although the Cooper heating boiler is positioned primarily as a solid fuel, it can operate on both solid fuel and diesel, gas or electricity. The main fuel is wood, coal, and when installing the appropriate special burners - pellets; diesel fuel; natural gas. The boiler has a built-in heating element unit (3 tena, 2 kW each), and, if necessary, it can be switched to power supply from the 220 V.

This feature of the Cooper boiler can be used even if you are not going to heat the room from the electrical network. With the help of heating elements, the boiler is able to maintain the temperature of the coolant at the end of the fire of a particular type of fuel (for example, firewood or coal in the period between bookmarks). It is worth noting that in this case the electricity consumption will be small - Cooper solid fuel boilers work as wood and coal boilers for long burning.

One of the boiler models (OVK-18) is equipped with a cast iron hob - it is installed instead of part of the upper water "jacket". You can cook or reheat food on the hob. Its functioning does not depend on the type of fuel on which the boiler operates at one time or another.

Economical, compact, safe

Due to its design features, the Cooper solid fuel boiler is the best choice for heating a private household: both a cottage and a private house of small and medium size. In addition to compactness, versatility and economy (their design provides for power regulation from 30 to 100 percent) Teplodarov boilers have a high safety class.

The rotary flap on the ignition door supplies air to the combustion chamber (long burning mode at full load), but does not allow the burning coal to spill out. The loading and ignition doors are protected with a silica cord to ensure long-term burning and prevent smoke leakage .. Additional external protection is the door thermal insulation and removable protective screens.

The OK-15 boiler manufactured by PKF Teplodar LLC is a powerful heating unit in a compact housing, capable of effectively providing heat to a room of 150 m2 even in the most severe Siberian frosts. The OK-15 boiler with a full water-cooled upper surface is produced with a universal arrangement of fittings for supplying a heat-carrying liquid.

The boiler is capable of operating on any of the listed types of fuel: FIREWOOD, COAL, PELLETS, GAS, ELECTRICITY.

It differs from most floor-standing boilers of other manufacturers in a number of design features:

1. In the firebox, in addition to the water jacket contour, there is a tube heat exchanger of 12 staggered tubes, providing maximum efficiency boiler.

2. The installed (removable) visor creates a double-circuit heat dissipation and guarantees complete flame suppression in the tube sheet.

3. Placing the smoke collector opposite the loading door makes it easier to control it and, if necessary, to clean it, even without stopping the operation of the boiler.

4. The loading and ignition doors of the boiler, due to the sealing silica bundle installed on them, hermetically close the furnace, which guarantees the absence of smoke and ensures the duration of combustion corresponding to GOST 9817-95.

5. The door body is filled with vermiculite insulation and is protected from the heat of the furnace by removable screens made of heat-resistant AISI 439 steel.

6. The ignition door is equipped with a rotary damper, which provides protection against spilling of the burning slag and supply of part of the air to the upper zone of the combustion chamber, which is very important for ensuring combustion at full load and in continuous operation.

7. Draft regulation is carried out by means of a convenient swing-type blower flap with a smooth regulation screw installed on the ignition door. This design provides easy control of the draft, both manually and automatically (optional upon customer's request).

8. Despite its compact dimensions, the boiler has a capacious firebox, into which you can load two buckets of coal or fire with wood 400 mm horizontally or 500 mm vertically.

9. The design of the boiler provides the ability to regulate power in a wide range from 30% to 100%

10. A cast-iron grate with a longitudinal arrangement of grooves is installed on it, which greatly facilitates the boiler maintenance, since it ensures the collection of all ash into the ash pan box and facilitates the noise during operation. During operation, the grate installed on the boiler can be easily replaced with any standard cast iron grate of any manufacturer with dimensions of 200x300 mm.

11. In the lower part of the body there is a special fitting G 2 1/2 ”, into which a heating element 3 × 2 kW, 220V is installed, which will maintain the heating system at the end of fuel combustion or heat the room from electric energy.

12. The boiler is connected to the heating system by means of fittings with a G1 1/2 ”female thread located on one of the side walls. Placing the fittings in one plane allows for a neat and compact installation of the boiler.

13. On the front surface of the boiler there is a thermometer for controlling the temperature of the heat carrier.

14. The boiler is thermally insulated with basalt cardboard and lined with decorative panels.

15. The design of the boiler provides a simple installation of gas, oil or pellet burners without locksmith welding.

16. The design of the horizontal smoke collector d150 mm on the rear wall with a removable swivel gate provides precise smooth regulation of draft due to a possible reduction of the cross-section by 75%, and can provide the most compact placement of the chimney using a revision tee.
