Tea houses in a marine style. Tea house “Sea Romance. Materials and tools for work

Every craftswoman now knows about the decoupage technique. And it seems that nothing can surprise you in this technique. However, after studying a detailed master class, you will learn about unusual mixed decorative techniques. A variety of fittings will be added to the usual materials (rice cards, soil, structural paste). Shells, chains, beads, ribbons, laces and pendants - all this will be mixed into a single composition in a marine style. A little time and inspiration - and you will have a wonderful tea house. Looking at it, you can feel the salty breeze, the warm sun, hear the cries of seagulls and the sound of the gentle surf. A small piece of the sea right at your home!

For work we need:

19.Set of decorative ribbons with “Annet” pattern

23. Beads “Zlatka”, art.: GR 41/11 (No. 0041)

1. Prime the outer sides of the “Mr. Carving”, art.: VD-264 with a thin layer of acrylic primer “Love2Art”, art.: APW-230 using a sponge “Mr.Painter”, art.: SPB-20. Let it dry for an hour or speed up the process with a hairdryer.

2. Sand the primed surfaces using the “To-Do” sanding sponge, art.: 90963. Remove the dust with the soft side of the sponge.

3. Let’s tear out suitable sized motifs for decorating the walls and roof of the tea house from the “Love2Art” decoupage rice card, art.: KPR.

4. Glue the motifs onto the side walls of the house. For reliable gluing, first apply adhesive varnish for decoupage “Love2Art”, art.: DVGP-110 to the surface of the workpiece and attach the motif. Then, moving with the Kinotti brush from the center to the edges, carefully glue it.

5. Glue two small motifs onto the roof slopes. Let's dry the workpieces.

6. On the front and back walls of the house we will paint vertical stripes with gray and white acrylic paint “Love2Art”, art.: ACP-60. Flat synthetic brush “Kinotti”, art.: 50112-20 - the most convenient tool for such work.

7. Paint the steering wheel on the front wall of the house with white acrylic paint.

8. Mix two similar tones of acrylic paint: gray and cold blue. Use the resulting color to paint the slopes on the roof.

9. Use black paint to outline the edges of the roof slopes. To do this, put a little black paint “Love2Art”, art.: ACP-60, on the corner of a beveled synthetic brush “Mr.Painter”, art.: SBA. First, let's run the brush over a sheet of paper, achieving a smooth distribution of the paint. Then, placing the brush from the outer corner, draw a straight line along the cornice. You should get a smooth gradient. Dry the workpiece with a hairdryer.

10. Repeat the contour along the curly cuts using the white acrylic contour “Love2art”. Let's dry the workpiece without using a hairdryer, since the contour from the hot air may blur.

11. We will repeat the same technique on the walls of the house, moving along the stripes. This will make them more voluminous.

12. Using a foam brush “Mr.Painter”, art.: SPB-20, paint the free space on the side walls. To do this, mix gray-blue tones of acrylic paint directly on the workpiece. Let's dry the workpiece.

13. Using a glue gun “Micron”, art.: DGL, glue the compass chipboard “Mr.Painter”, art.: CHI-9 to the back wall of the tea house.

14. Outline the contours of the steering wheel and compass with heavily diluted black acrylic paint.

15. Separate oval blank “Mr. Carving”, art.: VD-008 will be painted with gray and white acrylic paint. Just as on the roof slopes, we outline its edges with black acrylic paint, achieving a smooth gradient.

16. Glue the house in the center of the oval panel. This will create additional space for decoration. Glue gun "Micron", art.: DGL will provide excellent adhesion.

17. Plywood blanks “Mr. Carving”, art.: VD-320 in the form of bricks, tinted with diluted black acrylic paint.

18. Glue them at the bottom along the perimeter of the house, imitating stonework.

19. Using the white acrylic outline “Love2art” we will draw highlights on the stones.

20. Cut a piece of mesh tape 25-30 centimeters long. Paint it with white acrylic primer using a foam brush. Dry the tape with a hairdryer.

Simplicity and conciseness are characteristic features of the Primitive style, which has recently been quite common in modern home decor. To create such an interesting element of kitchen decor as a Tea House, we will need the following:

  • wooden blank;
  • black and white printout with the design we have chosen;
  • artistic acrylic primer;
  • acrylic paints for creativity (brown, white, sky blue, burnt umber);
  • PVA stationery glue;
  • acrylic varnish for finishing the product;
  • brushes, foam sponges, sandpaper.

Before starting work with our house, it must be treated with white acrylic primer. Our workpiece was already sold primed, so all we had to do was sand it thoroughly with sandpaper to remove excess primer and level the surface. When decorating a product, we will use an interesting technique - aging the surface with a “dry brush”. To do this, it is necessary to create a lower contrasting layer: we paint our future tea house with brown paint.

After drying, go over it again with fine sandpaper. Apply blue paint, slightly diluted with water. An important point: apply the paint with a dry brush, carefully stretching it and rubbing it over the surface.

The paint dries quickly, so we additionally rub it with a hard sponge, evening out the strokes. Let's go over it again with fine sandpaper, making small abrasions. We will “implant” the printed black and white drawings into the surface “face into the varnish”. We cover the place where our drawing will be with acrylic varnish. We also varnish the front side of the printout and glue the printout.

We firmly press the design onto the workpiece, smooth it out, expel all air bubbles, and glue it. For reliability, you can roll it with a rubber roller. After drying, the design from the print will be “transferred” in mirror image to the varnish. To develop the picture, you need to soak the paper with water: moisten a kitchen sponge with warm water and soak the picture with it. After soaking the paper, carefully roll up the top white layer until the black and white pattern appears. It is necessary to roll the paper away from the center very gently so as not to damage the design.

Let it dry. Do this manipulation several times: wet-roll-dry until all the remains of the paper are rolled up (no whitish traces remain). Let's dry it. For an additional “aging” effect, we will use burnt umber. To be able to correct possible mistakes and unsightly umber stains, before applying we cover the house with one protective layer of matte acrylic varnish. We will very carefully go over all the edges of the house with a sponge with umber applied. After the umber has dried, cover it with several layers (3-4) of matte varnish with intermediate drying. The final result of the work is shown in the photo.

Every housewife has a desire to transform her home, creating a cozy space. The decoration for, as a rule, are things needed in the household: towels, potholders and various dishes. But what if we went a little further and made a completely unique handmade item?

Such an amazing creation may well become, which is not found in every kitchen. An unusual storage for tea bags invariably attracts the attention of guests and causes admiration for it. It will help to give the accessory the appropriate look decoupage technique. Let's consider the most interesting ideas together!

Decoupage technique
  • Decoupage is a French word meaning “to cut.” The technique is based on decorating various objects and involves attaching a design to a surface. Typically, an ornament or picture is cut out and applied to the item being decorated, covering the design with varnish for durability.

Due to its simplicity, the technique is becoming increasingly popular among those who are interested in handicrafts and enjoy creative hobbies. , and on the smallest accessories. Decorating kitchen utensils has long been used in different countries and is gaining more and more admirers every year.

In addition to the obvious advantage of creating unique items, there are also hidden possibilities of this decoration technique.

On a note! For example, decoupage is often used to restoration of old furniture or smaller accessories.

Decoupage of a tea house is an opportunity to make an unusual and useful piece of kitchen furniture out of literally nothing. As well as the ability to realize bright ideas using available means, demonstrate design skills, and simply spend time doing an unusual activity using decoupage.

This does not require special skills or large expenses for materials, since even old magazines, ordinary napkins and other forgotten things can be used in the work!

Technique on different materials

If almost any elements can be used as parts used to decorate a house, then what about the house itself? Does this require a special frame? As a rule, the working surface is usually tree, cardboard or .

Fact! Wood is considered the best material for decoupage.

  • Tree quite durable, goes well with various paints and varnishes, durable and environmentally friendly. Therefore, there is always a place for such a product in the kitchen. Working with wood begins with sanding the surface. After which it can be primed and ornaments applied.

  • Cardboard, of course, can be called the most affordable material. If a wooden house is not found in every home, then no one will have any difficulties with cardboard. However, it is more capricious to work with, as it wrinkles easily, loses its shape when in contact with paint and is not as durable as wood. Therefore, it requires additional reinforcement in the form of a layer of gypsum mixture. Otherwise, the technique for creating ornaments is similar to woodworking.
  • Ceramics It is not used so often for decoupage, especially when creating a tea house. In the case of this material, it will not be possible to use only the tools available in the house. If you do have a ceramic house, then its main feature is a very smooth surface. When applying cut-out designs, you need to make sure that the parts do not slip off.

Wooden house

Before you start work, you need to decide on an idea: you can make a regular house or try to create a hut on chicken legs. This solution will be more interesting and unusual. You can also make it by decorating it with ears of wheat, or create one. In general, the plot will depend on the ornaments that can be found for application. For a wooden tea house you will need:

  • preparation of a wooden box;
  • acrylic paints (white and colored);
  • brush or roller;
  • colored napkins with drawings;
  • PVA glue;
  • relief acrylic paste;
  • acrylic contour paints.

First you need to cover the box with white paint and let it dry.

Advice! If you are not using a special blank from a store, then before painting, go over the surface with sandpaper.

The sides of the house on which decoupage is carried out must be coated with acrylic varnish and dried at room temperature. Then you need to repeat all the steps: paint and varnish again.

Carefully cut out the selected designs from the napkins using nail scissors (only the top layer is used). Place the drawings on the surface of the house and apply PVA glue with a brush, diluted with water to the consistency of milk.

Advice! Excess should be blotted with a napkin, removing all irregularities and bubbles..

After drying, the house is coated with acrylic varnish. If necessary, you can add some details with paints or trace the outline of the napkin design.

The last stage of work on the facade of the house is varnishing. You need to apply two or three layers, giving each one a chance to dry. To create, you need to apply relief paste and highlight every detail. Then apply paint and after drying, varnish it.

Advice! To decorate the house, use three-layer napkins. They are excellent in their characteristics, affordable and come in a huge number of different patterns.

Cardboard house

If you want to try to create a house from scratch, you can make it from cardboard yourself. For this you will need:

  • cardboard and scissors;
  • pencil with ruler;
  • napkins with drawings;
  • acrylic paints;
  • PVA glue;
  • varnish and thick paper;
  • eggshell;
  • twine and brush.

To create a structure from cardboard, you will need to cut out 2 square pieces for the base and roof and 4 pieces for the walls, in one of which a semicircular hole is made for dispensing tea bags. All parts are glued together using glue and paper.

On a note! You can strengthen the structures by gluing several additional rectangles onto the gluing seams.

Tea drinking is considered a ritual in many countries. For example, in England people gather for tea at a strictly defined time, in Japan they brew special herbal infusions, in Russia tea has long been considered one of the favorite drinks. How to make tea drinking not only tasty, but also a beautiful process? Of course, this is not only sweets and candies, but also the corresponding surroundings. Treat yourself and your guests with a pleasant home accessory – a tea house. You can make an accessory with your own hands, without spending a penny, but only by attracting your household members to an exciting activity.

Of course, you can buy a ready-made tea house in any store or at a crafts fair, but if you want to please your family with an exclusive gift and spend your free evening usefully, make a craft yourself. Our instructions will make the process simple and fun for you.

Ideas for creating a useful accessory can come unexpectedly: craftswomen use any waste material - boxes, plastic or wooden molds, clay, plywood and even... cardboard egg molds. You will be surprised how simply ordinary material turns into a real work of art. The photo shows options for tea houses made of different materials.

How to make a tea house out of cardboard with your own hands - diagram and description

For work, it is better to use not a traditional one - it is too thin, but a shoebox. The first stage is marking. Usually, such a diagram is used as a pattern.

And to decorate a tea house, it is better to prepare stencils or chipboards in advance.

Stencils can be useful for such elements that are shown with an arrow. There can be thousands of variations.

What do you need for work?

To create our first masterpiece we will need the following set of tools.

  • thick cardboard (in this master class we use cardboard from a mailing box);
  • glue gun;
  • scissors;
  • a simple pencil;
  • ruler;
  • twine;
  • two types of napkins (for the house and for the base);
  • acrylic white paint;
  • brush;
  • a piece of fabric;
  • stationery knife;
  • acrylic lacquer;
  • PVA glue.

First you need to make blanks for the walls, roof and base of the house; We do everything according to the scheme we chose initially. We noted these dimensions for ourselves.

We cut out the conventional door and our window. The door can be cut with ordinary scissors, but the window is better with a stationery knife on a wooden board, very carefully so as not to damage the “frame”.

Manufacturing instructions

When all the parts are ready, they can be painted with white acrylic paint. This is especially true if you plan to decorate the house in decoupage style. We will talk about decoration options towards the end of our review.

Advice! Sometimes, instead of acrylic paint, a special fine-grained putty is used to give the house the effect of a stone coating.

After the paint has dried, you can connect ours. You can watch the entire master class in this video:

You can use non-standard design options for a cardboard house as an example.

Master class on making your own tea house from plywood

A plywood house is one of the simplest and strongest options for a tea house. In some stores you can find blanks that will help us in our work.

What do you need for work?

The costs for our project will be minimal: all that is required is glue and paint and varnish materials, and a piece of plywood.

Advice! In construction stores, plywood is usually sold in sheets measuring 1525x1525 or 2500x1250 mm. It’s better to look from old stocks; probably someone still has parcel boxes or other plywood containers.

The optimal plywood thickness for work is 6 mm for the walls and roof, 10 mm for the base. However, if you have scraps 4 or 12 mm thick at your disposal, there is nothing wrong with that.

Manufacturing instructions

As we have already mentioned, a plywood house is usually held together with a special polyvinyl acetate glue. It is important to apply it carefully to the joints, then it is important to press all elements evenly at a right angle to prevent distortions. You can secure all the elements with masking tape. Usually the entire drying process takes 3-4 hours; a regular money eraser will help to press the tape around the perimeter.

For convenience, we have compiled all stages of work into a convenient table.

Illustration Description of action

We cut out the details along the contour. or a disk one will have to be used as a tool when cutting out complex surfaces, choosing recesses at right angles to the edge of the part.

We process the part with a file, then finish the corners with a file. The ends of the parts must be strictly perpendicular to their plane.

We treat the parts with varnish.

The elements should dry for several hours.

After gluing all the elements together, we got this tea house.

Advice! The drawing is easy to make in relief. To do this, you need to fix a template on the surface of the wall or roof of the house and apply one or two layers of putty; After it dries, paint is applied through the same stencil.

If you want to decorate your tea house, you can try to repeat the following ideas, which are quite interesting, in our opinion.

Master class on weaving a tea house from newspaper tubes

If you love weaving, then this master class is just for you. A wonderful gift can be made literally in one evening.

Below we will offer a detailed master class on how to make an exclusive tea house.

What do you need for work?

Any work begins with high-quality preparation; in this type of creativity, the basis is. To do this, you will have to study the technology of their creation. Enter “how to roll tubes from newsprint” into a search engine and find a master class. The length of the tubes varies - 45 and 55 cm long. In our case, we will cut strips 7 cm wide; if you want a larger weave, then 10 cm.

For those who don’t have time to look for instructions, we offer a short master class in this video:

Manufacturing instructions

After the material is prepared, it is important to choose the base for braiding. Let's start from the bottom.

Illustration Description of action

Twist the tubes around the base

We glue the joints with PVA. After this, we insert the tube one into the other.

Do not forget to choose the correct shape of the tea house around which the weaving will be carried out.

When you decide that the foundation for your home is sufficient, you need to raise the side posts.

You can not raise all the racks, but leave a part for braiding the base, in order, for example, to create an additional platform.

Finishing can be done in a different color combination

Let's move on to braiding the base. Please note that at this stage it is important to leave openings for placing tea bags.

The closer to the neck, the narrower our “top” becomes.

Once again we pay attention to weaving technology!

To conclude our publication, we offer a small photo selection of options for decorating a tea house.

The kitchen will become more comfortable if you complement the interior with cute handmade items. A tea house in decoupage style will decorate the interior and make it convenient to store tea bags. There is a place for it on the shelf, and there is no shame in putting it on the table for tea with friends.

Materials and tools for work

Decoupage (from the French découpage - cut out) is a simple decorating technique that allows you to make unique and attractive things for your home from simple things. The easiest way to decoupage a tea house is with napkins: it’s inexpensive and easy, and the work won’t take much time.

All you need to do is prepare:

  • blank for a tea house made of plywood, cardboard;
  • acrylic primer;
  • napkins with interesting motifs;
  • PVA glue;

The tools you need are scissors, brushes for glue and varnish, and sandpaper (fine).

After gluing the motifs, the background can be completed with acrylic paints, then prepare your paints.

Master class: how to decoupage a tea house

First, the workpiece needs to be processed: “sanded” using fine sandpaper. It is necessary to remove all irregularities and roughness and bring the surfaces to an even, smooth state. Remove all sawdust with a soft cloth and coat the workpiece with acrylic primer.

It is better to apply not one, but two or three layers: this way the drawing will be brighter. After the primer has dried, sand the workpiece again until it is perfectly smooth.

Now prepare the material with which you will decorate the workpiece. It is better to choose pictures for decoupage of a tea house to match the style and colors of the kitchen design.

For decoration you can take:

  • decoupage cards;
  • special rice paper from which the desired motifs are torn out;
  • ordinary paper napkins with an attractive and theme-appropriate design.

You can print the desired design on a color printer, only in this case the paper will have to be subjected to special processing - remove excess layers, leaving the topmost one with the design.

The necessary motifs are torn out (not cut out!) from a napkin or decoupage card. In this case, you need to remove the lower layers of the napkin, leaving only the top one. It will be very thin, so work must be done carefully.

For beginners, it is more convenient to decoupage a tea house using the so-called “file” method. To do this, prepare PVA glue, a stationery file or a medium-density plastic bag. Apply a thin layer of glue to the surface of the workpiece, apply the torn fragments, making up the desired composition from them.

The tea house has right corners, so decorate the sides one by one. Having applied a napkin, cover it with polyethylene on top and carefully, from the middle of the fragment to the corners, smooth it out to expel all the air. If necessary, you can go over the top of the napkin again with a brush with glue to glue all the edges.

When all the fragments are glued and dry, you can complete the background, and lightly tint the corners by going over them with a stamp pad or acrylic paint applied to a sponge. This way they will look more impressive.

Then you need to coat the surface with varnish. You need to apply not one, but several layers, waiting until the previous layer has completely dried. The more layers the better. The varnish will protect the surface from fading and mechanical damage and will give your work a spectacular look.

How to decorate a tea house

On sale you can find many different blanks for decoupage. They can have a simple appearance, imitate birdhouses, houses, huts in the old Russian or modern style, castles or oriental dwellings.

Depending on the style of interior design, you can choose the decor. In craft supply stores you can find a variety of voluminous decor that will help you decorate your tea house in an unusual way.

For example, a classic house can be complemented with voluminous flowers, an imitation of tiles on the roof can be made, shutters can be installed on the window, and a small figurine of a cat can be placed on the window.

Complement your favorite blue and white set with a house with Gzhel patterns, and in a Provence style kitchen it is better to create a composition in the same style. By looking at various photos of tea house decoupage on the Internet, you can use your imagination and create your own masterpiece.
