Beat the protein well with a fork. Egg white is the easiest "glue" to use. You can also make a paste of starch and water (50 ml. Water and 1 tbsp. almost to a boil and cool to room temperature). All three methods are environmentally friendly and safe.

Separate the bottom white layer of the napkin from the colored one. There are napkins where you can easily separate 2 white layers, and there are napkins where the color layer adheres very tightly to the white layer. At the initial stage, it is necessary to divide the part that can be easily separated.

For further convenience of decoupage of eggs, it is convenient not to cut out the fragments of the drawings, but to pull them out with your hands, then less folds will form when gluing.

When you rip out the drawing, you will see if your napkin has another white layer. If you are decorating eggs with white shells, this white layer of the napkin must be removed, if your eggs are not white, then it is better to leave the lower white layer of the napkin so that the pattern on the egg is clearer.

In such a simple way, we prepare drawings for decoupage eggs. The fragments must be pulled out both larger, on the sides of the egg, and smaller, on the top and bottom of the egg.

To glue the drawing to the egg, you first need to grease the desired area of ​​the egg with protein, attach a dry piece of a napkin with a pattern to it, and then cover the pattern with the protein on top with a brush. This should be done from the center of the picture at the edge.

It is best to glue small patterns on the top and bottom of the egg first, and then glue the larger pieces onto the sides of the egg. Drawings should be glued slightly overlapping so that there are no empty spaces (especially if the egg is not white). For decoupage, it is advisable to use an egg holder (for me, a yogurt lid successfully plays its role).

To dry completely, place the pasted egg on the wire rack. After 30 minutes, the eggs are dry.

You can use ordinary napkins, but they are rougher, thicker. And in the case of them, it is necessary to choose a smaller drawing. Since the egg is oval in shape, a large thick pattern will lie on its surface with folds. Then, as a thin layer from a three-layer napkin is distributed much better.

I use just such napkins and peel off the topmost layer first. I haven't said yet that we need them with a small pattern. Well, not only, of course, with small ones, but very large flowers and landscapes will not work in this case. I have two napkins: on one there are many small flowers and leaves, on the second there are both large decorative elements and small ones. We will use both.

3. Our task is to prepare the elements. Met in the description where they are offered to be cut with small nail scissors. But I like to tear off the details more. When you do exactly this, then when decoupage, no joints are visible on a white egg. And it turns out that the drawing seems to be drawn on the shell.

In this case, it is just not clear how this is possible at all. Either the egg was painted, or it was some kind of photo printing, or something else ?!

And just tearing off parts is the longest procedure. Especially if you decide to decorate with small elements. They need to be torn off in such a way that a white edge remains, about about 2 - 0.3 cm. It will make the transition from the pattern to the shell invisible.

I will advise you to immediately lay out the parts in accordance with how you will apply them. That is, roughly imagining how this or that Easter egg will be decorated.

4. We also need protein. To do this, just separate it from the yolk and that's it. Whisk, stir it to nothing. In this case, it will start bubbling, and the bubbles will be visible on the surface of the workpiece, which we just don't need.

Protein is an excellent naturally occurring adhesive. Since we will use the eggs decorated by the decoupage method for food, no other glue or varnish of chemical origin should be used in this case.

But if you are suddenly categorically against protein, then there is another way. You can thinly dilute the starch and glue it. Or, you can also use gelatin with sugar. For this, gelatin is poured with sweet water and kept for a certain time. Then it is filtered through cheesecloth and heated to a liquid state.

5. And now that everything is ready, the fun begins. We will create paintings. You can make them the same, or you can create a different pattern each time. When you place them in your Easter basket, they will look great! Moreover, in any of the options you choose.

6. And so, how we create pictures and pictures on the shell. Very simple. We apply the selected part to one of the sides and apply egg white on its surface with a brush. At the same time, we capture the edge and the space behind the edge. This is one way. There is also a second one:

• Coat the desired area with protein, then put the selected part on it, and apply the protein layer on top again.

Personally, I think this method is optional. One layer is enough. The napkin is so thin that the protein will saturate it through and through. In addition, when there is too much protein, the surface of the egg becomes slippery, and it becomes inconvenient to work with it. Especially when there are a lot of details.

By the way, you don't have to use a brush. You can apply the protein with your finger. So, if the brush was not found, then there is a very real way out.

7. Decorate all prepared eggs in this way. Then let them dry out a little.

8. Then pour some oil into a bowl, moisten a cotton pad and grease the patterned shell.

Do not use a lot of oil, just a little is enough. Then let the surface dry again and put it on a dish or basket.

The first way is closer to me. In this case, the surface is smoother and more even. Especially if white is used. Any fragment fits perfectly on it. And even if later you need to add another color corresponding to the picture, then it will perfectly fit on white.

And so how to do everything.

1. Prime the surface of the egg with white acrylic paint. Give it a chance to dry out. You can simply paint it with a brush, or you can do it with a dishwashing sponge. In this case, the coating will turn out to be slightly foamed.

2. Meanwhile, tear off the desired fragment from the napkin. Let me remind you that it is better to take them in three layers, and we will only need the third layer with the pattern applied to it. It is very thin and due to the fact that we do not cut out the fragment, but tear it off along the contour, the seam will not be visible at all.

As I said in the first description, it is necessary to tear off the part, leaving 0.3 - 0.4 cm of a white contour strip.

3. When the paint dries, attach the torn piece to the desired place and coat it with PVA glue directly on top of it. To do this, you can use a brush, but someone likes to apply it directly with their finger. Which is quite consistent with the well-known combination of "hand made".

Then wait again until the glue dries.

4. Apply varnish on top.

In the second use case, the scheme is somewhat different.

1. First, glue the torn off fragment with PVA glue. Then apply paint in a contrasting color to the free areas. If necessary, paint additional elements with this or other paint.

2. And after drying, apply varnish. A spray varnish is especially suitable for these purposes.

To decorate the workpiece and draw on it, you can insert a skewer into the lower part, and hold the workpiece on it to draw and paint.

You can decorate with two types of different napkins at once. Use one as a background, and the other as a picture. In this case, it is not necessary to apply a primer. Especially if the first layer is mottled enough.

Alternatively, you can primer in two coats using the same sponge. First use white, then pink. Then proceed to decoupage with napkins. And if you wish, even for voluminous jewelry.

And of course, there are simply no boundaries in such creativity of fantasy. When there is general knowledge of how to do this, then you can create real masterpieces.

By and large, there are no special differences from working with a foam blank. But let's dwell briefly on this topic as well.

As a rule, the piece of wood should also be treated with an acrylic primer. It itself has a textured surface with an appropriate color. And if light elements are used for decoration, then it will shine through a thin napkin.

In addition, the surface of the wooden blank is very smooth, and parts will slide off from it. And when primed, the surface will become more comfortable to work with.

Priming can be done with a regular brush, or you can use a dishwashing sponge. If you apply a primer with its help, then the surface will be embossed.

However, the surface is not always polished. In this case, you will need to do it yourself. You can use "zero" sandpaper for this.

Separate the desired fragment from the napkin. If it is very large, then it is better to divide it into several parts. Then glue them one by one. If you leave the part large, then on the convex surface of the workpiece it may not lie quite neatly, and folds, creases and irregularities may appear on it, from which the appearance will suffer.

Fragments can be glued using PVA glue or special glue for blending. You can apply it with a brush or finger on a fragment attached in the right place. After applying the glue, it must be allowed to dry completely.

And then apply acrylic varnish to the drawing.

If necessary, touch up the necessary places with paint.

And you can also arrange embossed tracks in a contrasting color.

This is the easiest way to decorate a wooden blank with napkins, and there are more complex ones. For example, in the same technique, you can decorate with volumetric elements. They can be made from the same napkins glued to a thermal film, or you can use ready-made beads, rhinestones, etc.

As a rule, a wooden egg is placed on a stand. It is also decorated with paints and varnishes. And it usually sticks to it.
