Metal profile for a fence in colors. Variety of color palette of corrugated board

Construction and small architectural forms. It has a number of advantages, thanks to which it is widely used.

Advantages and disadvantages of the metal profile

    relate:
  • low cost;
  • easy installation;
  • fire safety;
  • light weight;
  • high strength;
  • service life of 25 years or more;
  • universality of application;
  • the possibility of cutting in the factory;
  • color fastness to ultraviolet radiation;
  • a large selection of colors and textures.

The disadvantages of the metal profile are the appearance of rust when the protective layers are destroyed and noise when exposed to rain and wind.

Professional flooring color standards

One of the criteria by which the corrugated board is selected is its color scale. It is convenient to select the color using one of the existing standards.

Three color standards are most popular:
NPS - includes 21 shades. Colors are identified by an alphanumeric code of four to five characters. Example of designation: 04D44 - red; RR - includes 23 shades.

Colors are coded with two to three digits.

Code 44 corresponds to red.
RAL - includes 184 shades. The code consists of four digits.

One of the shades of red is designated by the numbers 3020.
The RAL standard provides much more possibilities, therefore it is used more often.

According to the table, it is easy to choose the shade of the metal profile and order the material of the desired color.

Choosing the color of the metal profile

The choice of the color of the corrugated board is made based on personal preferences and conditions of use.

For the roof, materials are used in blue shades that look good against the sky, red or brown - combined with brick walls.

An excellent solution would be to choose a roofing material to match the color of the base. For wall decoration, choose a metal profile with a matte finish in soothing shades.

The color should match the surrounding vegetation and architecture of adjacent buildings.

If the roof of the house is red, it is appropriate to use the same corrugated board for the fence. Green metal profile looks natural against the background of vegetation, dark brown - next to the sidewalk.

The color range of corrugated board is not limited to standard shades. The surface pattern of this material can mimic the texture of wild stone, brick, wood and other natural materials. This provides unlimited possibilities for the design of buildings and fences.

Thinking about what kind of fence to put in the country or what material to cover the roof of the garage, clients often forget that corrugated board is not gray iron that looks plain. Decking can be of almost any color and even more, this material can imitate stone or wood.

All characteristics of corrugated board are regulated by regulatory documents, the color palette is no exception. In the world (as well as in Russia) RR, RAL and HPS standards are used. The most common is the RAL palette, which is also used by our company.

Features of the RAL palette

RAL was developed in Germany in 1927 and has over two hundred colors. Such a variety is necessary where accurate color matching is important, therefore, initially the palette was most widespread in the paint and varnish industry. Each color of the RAL palette has not only a number, but also its name, for example:

  • 1005 - honey yellow;
  • 6002 - leafy green;
  • 7004 - signal gray.

Manufacturers of corrugated board usually use a limited number of colors, often no more than 15. It is important that each manufacturer has its own palette, that is, its own set of colors. For example, one manufacturer might have 5007 (brilliant blue) and another might have 5008 (gray blue). Outwardly, these colors are very similar, however, if you place two elements of different colors next to each other, then the differences will be noticeable.

But if different manufacturers use the same shade, then the color must match perfectly, since this is the standard. If there is a difference, then the color does not correspond to the RAL palette and does not correspond to the standard.

In general, it is recommended to choose the color of the future fence, roof or other structure by looking at the colors live, which you can do in our office. The monitor may incorrectly convey the shades, as a result, you will receive a color that is not the one you expected.

How is professional flooring painted?

In the production of corrugated board, various painting technologies are used, it all depends on the availability of equipment from the manufacturer. The most common electrostatic painting is the most economical and very reliable. The pneumatic method, in which the paint is sprayed onto the sheets, is also common, but today it is used less and less, since it is not economical. There are also such ways of painting profiled sheets as:

  • Airless painting;
  • Combined method;
  • Powder.

Regardless of the painting method, profiled sheets are covered with a protective coating. If it is not damaged, the original color can last for decades, it will not fade and fade.

Color matching rules

Color is a matter of taste, but there are generally accepted rules to be aware of.

Roofing corrugated board

If the facade is light and the roof is dark, then almost any shade will do, they will still look good. If the facade is dark, then the color of the roof should also be dark, but more saturated.

If you want to make a dark facade and a light roof, then in this case it will be difficult to find a good combination. Therefore, this option is used very rarely, in contrast to the option with a light facade and light roof.

Fence made of corrugated board

Everything here is quite simple and there is only one advice: make the inner side light, this will visually expand your site, but for outside it is best to choose a dark shade, it will look attractive and dust will not be visible on it.

Facade cladding

It is recommended to use several colors in the facing of facades, that is, not to make it boring and monochromatic. This is especially true for industrial buildings, but also applies to large residential buildings. Better to use a combination of at least two colors.

When choosing the color of corrugated board, you can be guided by your own preferences, or you can read thematic literature. The influence of color on human behavior and well-being has been proven for a long time, so some combinations (red with black, etc.) cannot be recommended to anyone.

Important: choose the color of the corrugated board in the company's office, modern monitors can distort colors.

Have you ever noticed the color of houses that were built 20-30 years ago? As a rule, they do not differ in a riot of colors - these are monotonous gray walls and the same roofs made of unpainted asbestos cement or galvanized sheet. Although this is not surprising, because at that time the range of roofing materials would not have been limited, it was not at all.

Today, manufacturers offer a huge number of solutions, while the colors of the roof sheeting cover the entire visible spectrum. Architects and designers can now make any of their ideas a reality, and the customer himself is no longer limited in his imagination. That is, today everyone can choose the color of the corrugated board for the roof, which will best satisfy his wishes, regardless of whether the preference is given to soft pastel colors of the roof or, on the contrary, bright and eye-catching with its originality.

Profiled sheet color standards

Characteristics and parameters, as well as any other building material, are regulated by certain normative documents. Not only geometric parameters are subject to standardization, but also the colors of the metal profile.

Manufacturers usually support one of three internationally accepted standards:

  • HPS - has a four-digit numerical designation and is sometimes accompanied by one Latin letter. This range includes the smallest number of shades;
  • RR - has a two- or three-digit numerical designation;
  • RAL - offers the widest standardized color range of corrugated board. Each color has a four-digit coding. This standard is used most often by various manufacturers.

Consider the principles that must be followed when choosing the color scheme of the profiled sheet:

Color matching

Let's list the primary colors and the secondary ones that are combined with it:

  • red is combined with blue, green, gray;
  • burgundy - with black, beige, dark blue;
  • deep pink - with shades of blue;
  • brown-pink - with blue and cream;
