Ordinary people, or why living in a village is good. How good is it to live and not work in Russia? How to live well in a village without money Is it possible to live well in a village

Therefore, I am offended when they say arrogantly about the villagers: "The village, what to take from it." Or they consider the peasants only as workers who are obliged to feed everyone. But in our villages there is something no less valuable than one bread. Such norms of human relations are still alive in them, which have long been forgotten in the city.

Big bules

Take, for example, the custom of greeting. In the village, like many years ago, they wish good health to a friend or stranger when they meet. On any trail, at a bus stop, at the entrance to a bus or shop. And this tradition is unlikely to be interrupted in the near future. I am sure of this, because my house is on the road to school.

Almost every day I meet a funny second grader on it. Seeing me, he tugs at the heavy backpack hanging from behind and cheerfully shouts: "Shdrashte!" Lisp, because the boy's front teeth fell out. But he is not shy, all of himself is so businesslike. I, they say, is already an adult and independent, I myself will go to school and say hello.

The chirping girls, moving with some kind of dance moves (because you have to knock around and play catch-up right there), interrupt their leapfrog and give out a greeting in chorus.

A young mother with three children is small and small less than the first one shows an example, and the little ones pull their “hello-a-a-aste” after her. And then they look at the parent, seeking approval: “Well done are we? Did you do everything right? " The woman praises with a smile and a look: "Well done!"

"Just Soviet Union somehow, - my city visitor was amazed at the mass "healthy talk" on the rural streets. "I already forgot how it happens."

She does not yet know that we also have other - ceremonial - greetings with their own meaning.

One minute curtsy

One of them is when you leave the yard as if for a minute. For example, with a trash can to the tank (we are no different from the city in collecting waste). Seeing a bunch of people at a neighbor's shop, you need to come up and say hello to the people. The format of this meeting is a la "Zucchini thirteen chairs", where communication is light and relaxed.

Therefore, it is not customary to approach with a sour expression or problems. A joke, an anecdote, a funny story - please. We exchanged positive emotions, everyday news, paid attention to everyone and went on weeding and mowing.

Show yourself

When, after moving to the village, I gradually got to know my neighbors and filled out household documents, then each of my new acquaintances pointedly reported: "And on Tuesday we have a market"... For a long time I ignored this detail of local life, because the market for me, yesterday's city woman, was just a place to shop. But when I heard about Tuesday for the hundredth time, I realized that I was missing something. And, intrigued, she began to wait for next Tuesday.

The market is set up on the square near the village council, where several cars with milk, sausages, fish, clothes, felt boots, galoshes - depending on the season, household chemicals and various household items come together. Locals bring out seedlings, seeds, pickles or fresh crops for sale.

Market communication is a circle hike from counter to counter, where everyone greets along the way. I am a new face, so people I meet are interested in:

“Whose will you be? Have you moved? Where from? A-ah, not far from here. And we thought from the North. Everyone from the North is coming to us now. "

The impression is that they have been waiting for you for a long time, but I am not understanding. Those standing in line glance at me and, noticing my interest, let me into their conversation. However, you don't have to answer. Enough nodding and smiling: I listen and I like you.

In general, the market in the village is a place of initiation, introduction to the course of business, communication. And public recording of the fact that you even appeared here. A new member of a community that wants to get to know and appreciate you.

Community system

Now I understand that this is not just curiosity. In the village, people, even when they are behind blank fences, live in a herd, in a community. A fresh person can be useful, possess some necessary knowledge and skills.

The explanation is simple. You can't hit the city for every need. Therefore, the villagers have adapted to solve problems on the spot. It has its own painters, roofers, plumbers and other craftsmen. The first guy in the village, of course, is a tractor driver. They all work honestly, do not cheat, there is no other way among relatives and friends. But each service has its own price. By city standards, frankly speaking, symbolic. But for a bottle of vodka, no one is already shabbat.

If you do not have useful talents (as in my case), then you will be accepted for the fact that you do not bring confusion into the established relationship. Figuratively speaking, you do not share a boundary, you don’t waste time on trifles, you don’t gossip, you don’t scold. In the village, where all forces are spent on physical labor, they especially value peace of mind and those who know how to maintain it.

Everything according to the mind

If someone thinks that they drink in the village, they haven't been there for a long time. In any case, in our village. Every family has a car, men and women are driving (there are even more women lately), they work mainly in Belgorod. I don't see drunk people and loiters in the streets.

There is only one heavy drinking neighbor in sight. In moments of enlightenment, he is hired to dig up gardens or for other rough work and honestly earns his three rubles. Despite his lack of prowess, the peasant's fellow countrymen feel sorry for him, justify his bad habit by his hard fate, give him food, and give things back. That is, they don't write off the accounts, they don't let them die of hunger.

“Because he does not steal,” the neighbor argues for the general kindness.

Hereditary sanity

In general, there are few spontaneous, rash actions in the behavior of rural people. Having started some business, they will first carefully weigh everything as more profitable and easier.

Perhaps this rationality is due to the lack of funds. However, watching how my new friends live on the minimum wage, which is below the subsistence level, make supplies, take care of their homes, I am inclined to believe that sanity in the village is a hereditary trait. A children's story confirms this.

The neighbor six-year-old Vanka, bored without friends, started a game with me: he offered to buy grass from him. He carries colorful leaves on my bench and names for each price: a ruble. When he has ten rubles in his cam, he gives the coins back. Resist: keep it for yourself.

“Well, we were just playing,” he convinces me, stubbornly putting money into my hand, and gives an unexpected argument: “Otherwise, you won't have enough money for the bus.”

I understand that at the age of six he knows everything about money that a reasonable person should know. As well as about honesty, which the villagers value very much.

It seems to me that in the rural rating of merits, honesty is in second place after the ability to keep the tongue in check. If here you have deceived, stolen, cheated, then you will not be scolded, beaten, or handed over to the authorities. They will simply be excluded from the list of communication, they will be ignored as an empty space.

In the city, for many, this is a natural state (as well as the principle "if only nobody touches me"). But living in a village in eternal ignorance is not easy.

Soul wide open

Once, at a bus stop, a bent old woman, immediately figuring out in me a stranger who was uninitiated into the local history, began to talk about the war. That here, where we are, there were anti-tank hedgehogs. As a 16-year-old girl, she washed the floors in the German commandant's office, and her mother, with tears in her eyes, met her every time at the gate: whole, returned. One night, in a severe frost, the Nazis drove people out of their homes and ordered them to go anywhere. And half-naked, they wandered for several tens of kilometers to a distant farm, where they could hide.

She was shocked not only by her story, but also by her willingness to share her experiences with a stranger. In general, they don't really hide the details of their life here. It makes no sense, you still can't hide, everything is in plain sight.

How do they not conceal knowledge and skills that make life easier. Even after standing in line, you will get a lot of useful information about what, where and how much.

“Yes, it would be something to worry about,” - I usually hear from neighbors when they find out that something is not going well with me. And give good advice, or even in a couple of hours they solve a problem that I would spend two weeks on in the city.

Honor to old people

I get to work by public transport, which is always crowded (and transport workers persist in the fact that we have enough minibuses). Drive to Belgorod, depending on the weather and traffic situation, 30-40 minutes. The route is considered a suburban one; a ticket to the end costs 58 rubles. So: I have never seen an old man riding in this bus while standing. Young people simply take off from their seats when an old woman or an old man comes in.

And recently in the city I was traveling in a crowded trolleybus. An elderly woman came in, apparently not quite healthy. Seated boys-students lowered their eyes and with a smart look turned their eyes to their phones. Girls were sitting next to some. Nobody got up. Honestly, I was especially sorry for the girls. Because over time, they will also have to find out what it is like looking down at the phone when you are next to heavy bags, pregnant, tired, sick.

Everything on the shelves

I like the alignment of the villagers' feelings in relation to domestic animals. Here, as often happens in the city, tusi-pusi are not bred with cats, dogs, no one knits bows, no down-padded coats. A goat or a cat in a village has a clear practical purpose. And the business of the owner is to feed, to give the beast a roof over his head, to heal, if required, but not to humanize.

Specifically in my village, I observe that people have a very correct, in my opinion, ability to distribute forces during the day, especially in the hot summer season. At this time, they get up early, literally with roosters, to water the gardens before the heat. During the day, many take a nap. And after eight in the evening they try not to work anymore. On weekends, usually on Saturday, the cultural program interferes with this simple schedule: here and there people sing songs. They gather at a certain bench and sleep. Nice - you will listen!

The classic of happiness

There are still many things that please the soul in village life. All together they give a feeling of harmony, peace, which you will not find among high-rise buildings and crowds of people. I can hardly describe it better than the great Leo Tolstoy, who preferred exclusively rural life: "Life outside the city, in the open air, in the fresh air, in the countryside is the first condition for earthly happiness."

Many of those who live in the city are bored with noise, traffic jams and other uncomfortable phenomena. Against this background, village life after the city begins to seem like an idyllic oasis of tranquility and harmony. But do not rush to say to yourself "I will leave everything and go to the village!"

For those who are not ready for it, life in the countryside after the city can be overwhelming. However, if you have carefully thought over everything and calculated in advance the ways of solving possible problems, it is possible that this will be the best solution in your life.

The image of a village in the minds of a city dweller is inextricably linked with peace and quiet, a measured way of life and closeness to nature. And indeed it is. In the countryside, there is no annoying background hum of cars, the air is clean, you can always take a walk in the forest or swim in the river. Hobbies such as hunting and fishing are becoming more accessible.

Village life is more subordinate to the natural rhythm. Summer here is a time of active work on the farm, growing, picking up mushrooms and berries. But in winter, the villagers have a lot of free time for rest, reading, self-education and family communication. Residents village house they all spend evenings together, and family members are more attached to each other, less often distracted by strangers.

Home-made natural products are a guarantee of health and longevity, which many rural residents are famous for. This does not only apply to fruits.

Own milk, eggs and meat regularly appear on the table of those who raise cattle and poultry.

In the village you can keep almost unlimited quantities:

  • Cats.
  • Dogs.
  • Cows.
  • Sheep.
  • Horses.
  • Chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks.

Adequate communication with animals and caring for them - perhaps this is what you need to find peace of mind.

In many Russian villages there are very few people, so the locals are friendly and always ready to help each other, in contrast to the townspeople who are overloaded with the amount of daily communications. All this creates an atmosphere of psychological comfort, which for those who appreciate it, more than covers possible hardships and material hardships.

However, from an economic point of view, village life is much cheaper. There is much more living space here - a square meter in a rural house costs less than the same area of \u200b\u200ba city apartment even on the working outskirts of a depressed city. This also applies to the value of land plots. Utilities in villages are often limited to electricity bills.

If the city regularly accumulates rent arrears, it is wise to consider moving to the countryside as a way to survive.

Own farming is the main help to the family budget, with its help you can save a lot of money, which in the city ends up in supermarket checkouts. This applies not only to food, but in many respects also to clothing. For example, lambswool knitted socks are superior in quality to manufactured goods. All that is needed to make them is time, which the villagers usually have in excess.

Thanks to constant physical activity, the villagers are always in excellent shape. Even pensioners who quickly fade among the “stone sacks” are distinguished by their love of life and activity in the countryside.
All this makes life in the village very attractive.

What to live in the village

It is no secret that the search for sources of decent income is one of the main difficulties that those who think about how to live in a village after a city have to face.

For some of those who have moved, freelancing becomes a way out of the situation. The penetration of the Internet into rural areas allows programmers, web designers and representatives of many other professions to earn good money without leaving the village. At the same time, unlike the city, they have the opportunity to keep a backyard and grow domestic animals.

If a large farm operates in a settlement, you can try yourself as an employee.

And with sufficient experience, you can do agriculture yourself, for example, starting an apiary or fattening pigs for sale. The farmer has the opportunity to receive a grant from the state, assistance in repaying a bank loan or paying for leased equipment. In any case, in order to work for yourself, you need to thoroughly study the market and not miscalculate with the direction of activity and sales opportunities of the manufactured products.

In some regions, there are chains of farm goods stores that buy from farmers not only milk and meat, but also products such as juice, jam, yogurt and cookies.

Experts talk about the demand for the following business ideas in rural areas:

  • Growing vegetables c.
  • Cultivation of medicinal (the most expensive are licorice, elecampane, yarrow).
  • Sales of eggs and chicken meat.
  • Sale of sunflower seeds.
  • Collection of wild plants for subsequent drying or conservation.

If you are a doctor, teacher, or a representative of another public sector of a young age, then you can count on a lift from the state when moving to the countryside. True, you will have to work in your specialty for at least five years after you received financial support.

There is also a legislative provision providing for subsidies for the construction of a house in rural areas, which can also be of great help for migrants from the city. Compensation can be paid even after the construction of the house.

Thus, in rural areas there is an opportunity to receive a stable good income.

Pitfalls in a rural pond

The loss of familiar comfort, even for a short time, can become an insurmountable stress for city dwellers. The need to heat the stove, the lack of running water and sewerage systems, self-disposal of garbage and interruptions in electricity - all this can provoke conflicts in the family, especially if initially there was no complete understanding and agreement on the issue of changing the place of residence.

If many are willing to accept the loss of proximity to supermarkets and shopping centers with their huge assortment of goods and entertainment, the absence of pharmacies and remoteness of hospitals can become extremely unpleasant circumstances. This is especially true for people suffering from chronic diseases... During rural work, due to lack of dexterity, it is not difficult to get injured, and the ambulance will not arrive as quickly as in the city.

In the village, as experienced people note, there is nothing to do without a car, and the more family members have a driver's license, the better. The quality of the roads, however, is poor in most rural areas.

Another problem, unfortunately, can be building relationships with others, who may not immediately accept migrants from the city, especially if they differ from them in worldview and economic status.

Drug addiction is not so widespread in the countryside, but alcoholism is a long-standing problem of the villagers. And in some regions, in particular, in the national republics, difficulties can be caused by the difference in language - in many villages there are speakers of unique dialects. Often there are settlements that are chosen by various religious sectarians. If you live next to them, it is possible that they will want to make you a member of their community.

Ecological cleanliness, which attracts the village, is also not everywhere. For example, if the roads are covered with rubble, then all summer long you will have to breathe suffocating dust. Some settlements are located in the vicinity of open-pit mining enterprises. In this case, a huge amount of harmful emissions can literally fall on the heads of the villagers.

When choosing a place for a settlement, it will not be bad to check the radiological situation in it with a dosimeter.

Young parents who want their children to grow up in the most healthy environment, far from ecologically unfavorable cities, often have thoughts of moving to the countryside.

In rural areas, children learn to be independent earlier - they must work and help adults with household chores from an early age. You can distinguish a village child from an urban child not only in his attitude to work and money. These guys are more open to communication, they tend to get along well with their peers, because they know all the neighbors and their children well.

Parents are more often at home, so there is no lack of communication with them either.

A city apartment offers a child much less space, a limited choice of subjects and activities, so mothers are forced to look for all kinds of development methods. In the village, the kid has more freedom of action, and his natural curiosity is constantly satisfied with the surrounding reality. Constant communication with animals, which the city child sees only in pictures in books, has a beneficial effect.

Many women in the village do not work, doing part-time farming, so the problem of kindergartens is not so acute. The kid will follow you "tail", watching how you do the most ordinary things.

Thanks to school buses, children from remote villages no longer have to walk to school for many kilometers, and in many regional centers educational institutions no worse, if not superior to urban. Of course, there is a personnel problem, but today's Internet technologies allow you to learn almost anything remotely.

With the proper focus and responsibility, which are inherent in many village children, they are able to seriously compete with urban peers when they pass the exam and enroll in major universities. Also, do not forget that in the village the child will have real friends for life, which not all teenagers from urban areas can boast of.
In the countryside, you can bring up physically strong and in all respects developed offspring.

In order not to suffer from lack of comfort, you can turn country house into a full-fledged cottage with all the amenities.

Stages of improving living conditions:

  • Stoves are being replaced by water heating with radiators and a coal-fired boiler.
  • The lack of a centralized water supply system is also not a problem - instead of it, a pump with a hydraulic accumulator can be installed in a well or a well, after which water will flow into the house in the same way as in a city apartment. Unfortunately, in some areas the quality of natural water leaves much to be desired due to, for example, a high content of iron oxides. In this case, filters can be the salvation.
  • Modern equipment allows you to solve the problem of sewerage.
  • Thanks to the voltage stabilizer, you will not experience discomfort during power outages.
  • As a last resort, you can install your own electric generator.

Of course, all these innovations require certain financial costs. However, the cost of a village house with all the amenities still in most cases does not exceed the cost of a city apartment of the same size.

To equip and keep a house in order, men will have to master many new crafts, such as carpentry, construction, electrical, plumbing and welding. It is better to start collecting information about all this in advance if you plan to move to the village. Women will not be bored either - not only are they the usual cooking and raising children, but also gardening, preparing food for the winter, knitting, sewing clothes. Therefore, if you are fond of hand made - in the village these skills will not be wasted.

In the countryside, it is very important to maintain cleanliness and order - if you do not monitor the condition of household clothes, rooms and courtyard, then everything will quickly fall into complete decay, in which it will no longer be possible to exist normally.
Experienced people advise those who decide to engage in agriculture to unite in cooperatives for joint marketing and processing of products.

What to consider when buying a house in the village

Housing prices are falling noticeably already at a distance of 50 km from the nearest town. The migration flow is directed from rural areas to regional centers and regional centers, therefore, in almost any village you will find someone willing to sell a house, unless the village, of course, is already completely uninhabited.

You can find an advertisement for a sale on the Internet or in local newspapers, which the villagers trust in the old fashioned way. Here you can also give information about buying a house, preferably with details of your housing requirements.

And if you're lucky, you can buy a house in good condition at an inexpensive price if there are communications and access roads (for example, if the owner urgently needs to leave).

The best time for selling and buying houses in the countryside is autumn and winter, when villagers have more free time.

Things to know before making a purchase:

  • The age of the house and the history of its previous occupants.
  • The material from which the house is built (healthy wood or reliable brick houses, but slag-filling structures are not worth buying).
  • The form of ownership of the land plot.
  • The presence of a gas pipeline, water, sewerage, cellar and outbuildings.
  • The presence of a reservoir nearby.
  • The fastest way to get to the village.

These questions can be asked to the owner during the telephone conversation.
When examining the house for the first time, pay attention to the condition of the roof - if there are any rotten logs in the attic, because of which the roof can collapse (the tree should not be easily pierced with an awl).

A similar requirement applies to the underground - here the logs must also be dry, otherwise they will rot and the building will sag. Determine the reliability of the position of the building by moving 30 meters away from it - if the ridge of the roof is at an angle, then the house has already begun to sink. The quality of the stove is also important - if it is cracked, it will be cold in the house in winter. You can ask the owner to light the stove for a test.

To register the transaction, the proper state of all documents will be required, and after it it will be necessary to register the ownership of the housing and obtain the appropriate certificate.

Life in the countryside is a conscious choice of many people who are not afraid of the difficulties of settling in a new place and are ready to completely restructure their way of life. Rural life has its pluses and minuses, however, modern technical solutions make it possible to bring life close to nature closer to urban comfort.

5 simple ways to grow mushrooms in the country, ...

  • How to grow turkeys at home: ...
  • Hello dear blog visitors. I decided to continue the series of articles from the "Rural View" column. And in this article I propose to speculate about the pros and cons of village life.

This topic is very close to me, since for more than five years I have replaced the bustling urban pace of life with rural harmony. And during this time, the criteria that distinguish the city and the countryside have clearly settled in my mind.

I should note that the rural population accounts for only 30% of the total population of the Russian Federation.

And once the share of villagers in the country reached an impressive 75%. But then, industrialization and urbanization. Unsurprisingly, 23,000 villages have disappeared over the past 20 years.

Most of the townspeople perceive life in the countryside as something wild, stone age. I will make a reservation right away, in this text I will not talk about a remote village. I will rely on an average village with television, shops, etc.

But I would like to start with city life, where a stormy life is in full swing. The city provides many opportunities, both career and cultural and recreational.

I come from Veliky Novgorod, which is generally recognized as one of the centers of Russian statehood and one of the centers of culture.

But if everything is so wonderful in the city, what made me leave it?

    Pros of country life

    Cons of village life

There is also an opinion about the lack of abundance on store shelves. It seems to me that all this is already in the past. Trading networks (Magnit, Pyaterochka, Dixie and many others) have long penetrated rural settlements and successfully sucked out finances from rural residents.

As for the assortment, it may be for the best that there is no counterfeit on the shelves of rural shops that is on every corner in city shops. From the garden - it is tastier and healthier.

Also, many argue that there is no crime in the village. It only brings an ironic smile to my face. We had one episode when an ATM was stolen from a store. This is the same as claiming that there are only alcoholics in the village.

In general, some of these disadvantages can be easily eliminated with the help of finance. Buy yourself a satellite dish, internet ... Equip your home as you want.

Rural life saves our nerves and protects us from everyday stress, unlike the city. And what could be better than living for your own pleasure?

If I missed something or is wrong about something, then leave your comments at the end of the article, we will discuss the topic of the village.

Probably, each of us thought about what conditions - rural or urban - to live better.

Cities attract many people with their widest range of opportunities for education and study, work and part-time work, entertainment, leisure and much more. However, life in the countryside is also not without its advantages.

    Pros of country life

    • The most important dignity of life in the countryside is positive ecological situation... Clean air, wildlife, blue sky not covered with black smoke, clear water without impurities and the smell of chlorine ... These conditions ensure healthy sleep, excellent health and, as a result, a good mood!
    • Fresh vegetables and fruitsgrown on their own plot also have a positive effect on human health. You can be absolutely sure of the quality of the foods you eat. You can not only make them yourself, but also buy them from your neighbors. Eco-friendly food is the key to health and longevity.
    • Pets - a special advantage. While living in the village, you can have as many furry pets as you can feed. They will not have to sit still in a stuffy apartment, content to move only from one wall to another and walk on a schedule. Moreover, a villager can afford not only a cat, dog, turtle or guinea pig, but also a much larger animal - for example, a horse. Of course, she needs special care, special conditions of detention are also required, but creating them in a village is much easier than in a city. Separately, it is worth highlighting the opportunity to have a cow or a goat - these creatures will delight you with fresh milk every day.
    • It cannot but rejoice and environmentin which the villager is. Everybody knows each other. In such conditions, it is much easier to find good friends for yourself. Enemies, of course, can also show up ... But more on that later.
    • Real estate prices are also the criterion by which the village, in most cases, bypasses the city. A house in a small village will be cheaper than an apartment in a city high-rise building. There are exceptions to this rule, but they are quite rare.
    • General atmosphere of calm - it is she who reigns within the village boundaries. Cars rarely drive, there are very few of them. Neighbors don't knock on batteries. Workers on the street do not make noise when changing asphalt or repairing tram rails ... Singing birds, swaying blades of grass in the wind and the sound of water in the local narrow river - these are the sounds that a villager hears.

Life in the countryside is good in its own way: it is measured and calm, simple and much closer to the way of life that our distant ancestors led ... But it has a number of significant drawbacks, because of which many people prefer not to move outside the city limits.

    Cons of village life

    • Few development opportunities - this is the main negative characteristic that the village possesses. Usually, residents of such settlements have to travel to the city in order to get a good education, and then - a high-paying job. Working in the village is, as a rule, selling your own food products, manual labor, the position of a seller in a small store, a waiter in a local cafe or a librarian in one of the premises of a village club. You can count on more prestigious work only within the city limits.
    • Here no big shopping center, an amusement park, a circle for young skaters, a music recording studio and a service for repairing mobile devices. Colorful, funny, educational festivals are not held here - local authorities rarely arrange such. If you want to visit the cinema, buy a new TV or get a massage, you have to go to the city. It should be noted that usually the costs of travel from the village to the nearest urban settlement are very high, especially when it comes to public transport. Moreover, the journey takes a long time.
    • It will be difficult for an untrained person to arrange a good village life.... The cow and goat must be milked, and the potatoes must be planted and dug. A villager has far more daily chores than the average city dweller. You will have to do a lot on your own, including entertaining yourself, which follows from the previous paragraph. Can you fix the roof if it suddenly starts to leak? Of course, you can call a repair outfit from the nearest town, but how long will you have to wait?
    • Elementary lack of amenities familiar to a city dweller too few people can please. It is possible that you will need to go to the toilet outside. Not all villages have running water. For water you will need to go to the well. Would you like a shower? Heat the bath. Electricity is now available almost everywhere, but in the village it is much more likely to be interrupted.
    • Building relationships with others can be challenging... This factor is individual, but if you compare a rural existence with life in a city, the main difference is that here you are unlikely to be able to exist apart from your neighbors. Villagers love to take an interest in each other's life ... Will you be lucky with your surroundings if you move to live in a village?

    Conclusion

So, let's summarize. Village life fundamentally different from the cityoh - we can say for sure. This is probably why one can always see an inhabitant of a megalopolis among the inhabitants of rural areas, and, on the contrary, it is very easy to find a villager when he is surrounded by townspeople. Someone will consider it a plus the fact that to live in a village you need to have a wide range of different skills and abilities, to someone, on the contrary, it will seem very difficult or even unbearable.

But what should you choose? Traditional economy or modern opportunities and technologies? Entertainment created by you, or entertainment created for you? Clean air and no fuss or career and prospects?

Sometimes city dwellers have thoughts - wouldn’t it be better to live in a village where there is no fuss, where there is clean air and silence? It is clear that in a large settlement there are a huge number of opportunities, you can study and work, there is a lot of entertainment. At the same time, living outside the city has its advantages. However, before moving, it is better to evaluate all the pros and cons of life in the countryside.

Positive aspects of living in rural areas

The main advantage of village life is fresh air and environmental friendliness. There is no smoky sky in the village, and the stars seem larger and brighter at night. The water does not contain chlorine impurities, is clear and tasty. And this is the key to healthy sleep and great well-being.

It is much easier to find friends in the village; more open people live here.

    Products from your garden

Considering the pros and cons of living in the countryside, one cannot fail to mention fresh food that can be grown on your own backyard. It is in such cases that you can be completely sure that vegetables and fruits were not grown or stored using chemicals. And this is the key to happy longevity.

Unlike a city apartment, you can have as many animals as you can feed in a private house. In addition, we are not only talking about a cat or a dog, you can even have a horse, goat or cow.

    Real estate prices

Speaking about the pros and cons of living in the countryside, do not forget that the cost of real estate here is much less than in big city... Therefore, you can buy a house in which there is enough space for everyone, even if the family is very large.

    Peace and quiet

If you want to forget about the bustle of the city, go to live in a village, there are few cars here, no one knocks on the wall, no noise comes from the street. Here you will not hear the rumble of tram wheels, but only the singing of birds and the sound of the wind.

Life in the village is very measured, sometimes it seems that time here flows much slower.

    A few more pluses

The advantages of living in the countryside do not end there. As in the city, most villages have internet and satellite TV. But there are no video cameras at every corner and huge traffic jams. Children grow up strong and healthy.

On your site you can build a bathhouse or sauna, you can go fishing and in the forest, do a small, but your own business.

    Negative sides

Naturally, if everything were so rosy in the village, as it seems at first glance, the cities would no longer exist, everyone would have moved to live “closer to the earth”.

The main disadvantage of life in the village for a city dweller is that it is quite difficult to get used to and settle down here. Not everyone knows how, and does not want to, milk a cow and plant potatoes. In rural areas, despite a quiet lifestyle, residents do not have a free minute, because they constantly need to do something - water the garden, touch up the fence, make preparations for the winter, and so on. A city dweller has much less routine worries than a rural one.

In addition, most of the cases will have to be done on their own, for example, fixing the roof or digging up the area.

In addition, not all villages also have a central sewerage system, and for a city dweller this can be a huge problem, you have to go to the toilet outside and bring water from a well, although even this problem can be solved in the village. There are also frequent power outages in the village, and you need to be prepared for this.

    Lack of opportunity

The pros and cons of life in the countryside and the city are very diverse, but the main thing is that there are practically no opportunities for development in the village. To obtain quality education, even if not higher, you have to go to the city. The same will have to be done to get a high-paying job. In the village you will have to sell products from your site, or go to a store or a local cafe to work. You won't find prestigious work here.

For big purchases you will have to go to the city

There are no equipment repair services or beauty salons in the countryside. To purchase a serious product, to receive a certain service, you have to go to the city. There are no interesting events, festivals and sports competitions in the villages. Even if you want to go to the theater or cinema, you still have to go to the city.

    More cons

Life in the village, the pros and cons that we are examining, is not suitable for every city dweller. First of all, you need to assess whether you can go to a low-paying job as a specialist in the city. It is unlikely that in the village there will be an opportunity to work as a rental manager or accountant. It is easier if you have your own vehicles, and the village is not far from the city, then you can go to work, although this is an additional cost. At the same time, a new problem may arise - bad roads, as a rule, are such and are outside the cities and highways.

When evaluating the pros and cons of living in the countryside, don't forget about children. Indeed, they will be healthier, but it is unlikely that they will be able to develop their abilities. There are no specialized, sports and music schools, developing circles. If you even have a car, then think about whether you can take your child to school and to the club every day.

Life in the countryside is very different from urban conditions. A leaking roof will have to be repaired by yourself, a private house requires constant maintenance and minor repairs.

Do not forget about the neighbors, they will not knock on the walls, but you will not be able to live in a village apart. In the villages, all residents know everything about each other, they live more openly and are very interested in the private life of their neighbors.

    Finally

Life in a city and a village are different things, therefore, if a city dweller enters a village, then he can be immediately calculated, as well as vice versa. But it is impossible to answer the question of where is it better to live, each person decides this question for himself individually.
